Why the Corvette Will Always Rock! – The Other Point of View
A couple of months ago, I wrote a post on Why the Corvette Will Always Suck. Since that brought so much debate amongst the Cool Rides community, I figured that I would write a post looking at it from the other side. While some people are not turned on by the Chevrolet Corvette, there are some strong arguments as to why this car is one of the best ever produced. For more than 60 years, this vehicle has provided great memories and experiences to numerous drivers. Not only has it been selected multiple times as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500, but it has also played an important role in pop culture. The Corvette has been featured in famous movies and songs. Here is a closer look at why the Corvette rocks.
It Is Accessible
Most true sports cars are extremely expensive. The average person has no hope of ever owning a car like a Ferrari with a price that approaches $200,000. On the other hand, a new Corvette model can be purchased for under $60,000. This means that it is not uncommon to see this type of car driving around the neighborhood.
It Can Relieve Stress
When a person sits inside of a Corvette, the stress of a bad day tends to melt away. This may have a lot to do with the amount of power this vehicle offers. The average Corvette offers between 200 and 400 horsepower. When a person is in control of this much strength, it energizes the mind and eliminates the feelings of inadequacy.
It is Romantic and Sexy
Despite the numerous redesigns, the Corvette remains a vehicle with only two seats. Without a back seat, two people get to be alone and take a trip together without interruption. The sex appeal of the car is evident from the outward curves and main design, which is sensual and seductive.
It is Fun
The overall appearance of a Corvette is beautiful. It is available in a wide variety of styles. It is especially fun to enjoy the wind blowing through your hair while driving a Corvette convertible. Combine this feeling with the amount of power this car offers, and one is hard pressed to have a better time on the open road.
Having the opportunity to own a Corvette is like living the American dream. This car has been a part of history for over six decades. It continues to improve and provide great memories. It is a timeless classic that will go down as one of the best cars ever made.
