1967 Shelby Cobra

This is my vision of the car that would have resulted had an AC Shelby Cobra been enhanced into a Daytona Prototype car.

It’s an eclectic mix of era-correct features (e.g., split window, Gurney bubble) and modern design elements (e.g., front air dam, modern headlights) which capitalize on the beautiful design flow of the original car. (See Feb, 2011 “Kit Car Builder” magazine, pp. 9 and 36 for photos) 351 Windsor with cast iron GT-350 heads, Edelbrock Performer intake with 600 CFM Holley Double Pumper. Original alloy “COBRA” style valve covers Stellings original style air filter with aluminum “Turkey pan” air box. MSD 6AL with chips.

Aluminum bell housing with Hayes Street/Strip clutch and pressure plate, McCleod hydraulic clutch cylinder and inch Jamar master cylinder. Tremec 5 speed. Front suspension is Unique custom tubular upper and lower control arms w/ Chrome Proshock coil-over and springs. Rear Jaguar IRS w/ 4 chrome Proshock coil-overs.  Wilwood Dynalite 2 calipers all around.

This is my 1932 Austin Bantam Roadster. It is a street legal altered gasser with a 127 inch wheelbase and a clear California title registered as a 1932.

My Roadster has 40,00 miles on the car and 1500 miles on the motor. I have over $60,000 invested it with features that include:

350 C.I. Chevy engine – BDS blower and blower manifold – Keith Black 8.5 to 1 pistons – Reworked Edelbrock polished aluminum heads – Crower cam – Roller rockers – Quick Fuel 650 carbs – High amp mini alternator – Walker radiator – Sanderson headers – Turbo 400 automatic transmission – 3200 RPM BM stall converter – BM shifter – Custom made drive shaft – Currie 9 inch rear end – 355 geared positraction – Drum brakes – Alston ladder bars – Straight front axle – Wilwood disc brakes – Custom 21 gallon aluminum fuel tank – Reversed Corvair steering box – Team III wheels – Narrow ET’s on front with Firestone tires – 15×15 Gassers on the rear with 31 inch Hoosier tires – Wiring hidden inside the frame – Fiberglass body lengthened 19 inches – Expensive custom paint reminiscent of 60’s fuel altered dragsters – Custom windshield – Stewart Warner gauges – Engine turned firewall and dash panel The build quality of the car is exceptional – Nothing but the best parts were used and no short cuts were taken – It is totally street legal – It has big power but is still very easy to drive!

No car gets more attention then my 1932 Bantam Roadster at a car show!

I bought my 1978 Pontiac Firebird new when I was a kid of 21. I have enjoyed it ever since.

I restored the original paint job three years ago. The bucket seats were redone in original cloth and the interior looks brand new. I only drive this car when the sun is out. No rain is allowed.

The Firebird is approaching 300k miles. The engine was rebuilt in 1997 and has less than 80k miles on it. Three speed auto trans rebuilt in 2006. Nothing beats removing the T-Top and taking a cruise through the Columbia Gorge on a nice summer day.
I will be buried in this car!

This is my 1968 Chevrolet C-10 Stepside Victory Red truck.

It has 350 milled and bored to 425 HP Holley 650 on an Edelbrock Performer Intake TH200R4 over drive tranny and 3.73 gears Flowmasters and ceramic coated headers. Billet Specialties Chevy 6 lug wheels with 295x50x15 tires Interior original dash with auto meter gauges built in including tach. This 1968 truck has 1999 Chevy Tahoe power seats with console. Custom made roll pan with recess for license plate.

More pix available of course. This truck was built in 1999 and it has been maintained and improved upon since.

My truck is a FOREVER on going project!


George Fleischer’s 1969 Chevy Chevelle

I bought this 1969 SS 396 Chevelle back in 1971 when I was a junior in high school. I paid $1950.00 for it with payments of $89.50 per month for 18 months. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but when you’re in high school and working for $2.75 an hour part time, it’s pretty expensive!

This was all my own money and received nothing from anyone for the purchase. My older brother did cosign for my loan though. This was my daily driver car even after I got married. I took it off the road in 1977 after my first son was born because it did not make a good family car and it started looking shabby. I could not afford to restore the car until about 1984 when I started ordering parts. I also went through a divorce and moved several times.

The car was about 85-90% complete when I found out I had lung cancer in 1998. I was told most people with what I have only last about 6 months. Well I finished the car during my illness and 14 years have passed now.

This 1969 Chevelle is my Blue Angel.  A fast angel with a 427 super charged Tremec TKO 5 speed!
