Bob Blodgett 1957 Chevy Corvette

Representing Start Your Engines!® Fuel System Revitalizer
SYE-Bob Blodgett-1957ChevyCorvetteI’ve had this Vette for many years as I bought it in the 70’s. It was painted black in 1977 with a paint called emeron, a paint that requires clear coat over it… It has to be one of the toughest paint ever created, as it is still on her and shines like brand new. The biggest mistake I made was trading off the stock 283 fuel injected original engine for a 327… I built the 327 to be a fairly high horse power engine. Decked the block, shaved the heads and went from 194 to 202, 12.5 TRW on floater rods pistons, steel crank, a pretty radical Pro Comp cam, with Crane roller lifter and rockers, Weiand dual four intake with 2 Holley 700’s sitting on top, MSD ingnition and much more modifications to turn my Vette into the ground pounder she is. The body and interior are fairly stock with the exception of the hood, which I modified to clear the dual four carb system… I’ve entered several car shows and have placed 1st often and Peoples Choice and King of the Blues in Ione, Oregon. I have found entering car shows (win, lose or draw) are more fun and financially better than doing the drag racing scene… The rest of the drive train consists of the original (rebuilt) Borg Warner T-10 4 speed transmission with a 10 bolt original (rebuilt) limited slip rear end…
