Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’ve been married for 30 plus years, I have a son and daughter both presently in college, and I have my faithful companion…my dog “Sydney.” I live in the Boston area and work for a Biotech Company that provides instruments and reagents to the Medical Research Community…. I enjoy all sports, I am an avid golfer and new to ownership but not Hot Rodding.

How did you first get interested in this hobby/passion?

In my late teens and early twenties I hung with a group of friends that were into the muscle cars of the era: Mopars, Chevys, Pontiacs… I always said once I got married, owned a home, had kids and got them thru College, its “toy time.” It just came a little earlier than expected, lol. I have no regrets, and have met a great group of fellow enthusiasts that I do all the cruise nights and car shows with. I belong to the “3-Mile Club,” but I have been known to wander outside that limit…shhhhhhh!.. don’t let them know.

What Rides do you currently own?

I own a 1923 Ford T-Bucket dubbed the “Green Hornet.” S/B 355 bored 0.30, cammed, 400 hp…goes like H*&%$# ! and passes everything but the gas station.

What do you like most about your current rides?

I like the openness of driving it around in the warm summer months, the ease of working on it, and the attention it gets everywhere I take it. It’s pretty cool!

What is/are the fondest memories you have while owning your Cool Rides?

I have only had it on the road this past summer and already have a lot of fond memories. First and foremost, the many great friends my wife and I have made: Jeff and Jane, Mike W, Jerry V, Al H, Skip and Tina, Greg D, Jim and Marion and Dennis and Gail to name a few. Yup, I’m plugging them all, lol. The very first car show I entered the T-bucket in this season took 1st place overall in a field of 150 cars… that was certainly memorable.

What was the first car you ever owned?

The first car I ever owned was my pass down 1969 Ford Country Squire station wagon with wood grained side panels… Thanks Dad!! That was a real “Chick Magnet”.. NOT! lol

What is/was the BEST car ever made?

Putting aside any foreign sports cars and sticking entirely with American made vehicles of the mid 60’s to early 70’s Muscle years, I am partial to the Ford Mustang Cobras. However, Chevy Camaros are close behind, and any of the Mopars… they were all great!

What is/was the WORST car ever made?

There were several “fire traps” of that era. We know what they were! Not to offend anyone of course…

How did you first hear about the Cool Rides Online website?

I was told about it from Greg D, and posted some pics. I believe I also got it off a flyer received at a local car show entrance package.

Is there anything else you’d like the Cool Rides Online members to know about you?

It is a pretty nice site to see all the different makes and models of other enthusiasts, along with the chance to reach out nationally to get ideas for improvements and advice. It is a great site and I’m enjoying it so far… thanks, John.
