Please tell us a little bit about yourself (2 or 3 sentences).

I love cars and car shows, landscaping, and photography. I also love spending time with our 5 grown Children, 7 Grandchildren, and 3 Great Grandchildren, and a new one on the way! I love all genres of music; my favorites are Rock and Country! I have a Girl Cave for my 1967 Corvette Sting Ray that I designed and completed.  Our house, I designed in college in Architectural Drafting; I painted every inch of it myself, 3,188 sq. ft! I laid the ceramic in the basement in four areas and I landscaped the house, pole barn, garden and pond myself!

How did you first get interested in this hobby/passion?

I have always loved cars. I used to go to the Drag Strip in Avilla, IN all the time! In my first marriage, we worked on them together, starting when I was 16!  I loved the sounds, body styles, and speed of the Chevys, and we owned a few:  66 SS Chevy II Nova, 55 Chevy Belair, 57 Chevy, 59 Chevy Impala, 58 Impala, 67 Chevelle SS 396, 62 Impala SS!

What Rides do you currently own?

A 1967 Corvette Stingray, 327/350!  I have had this car almost 20 years!  I removed the carpet and seats a few years back and replaced carpet, padding and sound & heat pad.  Then I had the seats restored.  My son, Lee Kinley Jr. and I removed and over-hauled the engine. We had the engine compartment painted and we put the Engine back in together!  We then sent it to the body shop for fiberglass repair and paint. My license plate and valve covers say 67 Lady!

What do you like most about your current rides?

The Sound of the Engine as soon as I start it!  I get so excited when I get behind the wheel, like every time is the first time.  The Thrill of The Ride!  The wind in my face and my hair blowing all over is always great! THIS ONE IS TOTALLY PAID FOR! This is my 3rd 1967 Corvette Sting Ray; I had to sell two because life happens and priority for kids and dying mother takes over. I never gave up hope that I would own another one again.  I hung a picture of a 67 corvette on the wall where I would see it every day until I purchased this car.  It took three years!

What is/are the fondest memories you have while owning your Cool Rides?

Taking my beloved mother and my grandchildren all over in my corvette, and going to car shows with my son Lee Kinley Jr and his 1968 Camaro painted with Electrostatic!  In my first Muddy River Run Car Show, I placed in the top 75!  I cried like a baby when they called my name!  Who would have thought!  My son, Lee, said, “You Did It Mom! You Deserve It!”

What was the first car you ever owned?

A 1955 Chevy

What is/was the BEST car ever made?

A 1967 Corvette Sting Ray 427!  AWESOME POWER!

What is/was the WORST car ever made?

A Pinto
