Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
I am a single father of two, and own two of the coolest cars on the planet.
How did you first get interested in this hobby/passion?
That would have to be from my neighbor (Gary Wall) down the street. Although he was a Chevy boy, he still is the on that got me started. He let me race his ’57 Corvette at 13 years old, and ran a 13. That got me hooked.
What Rides do you currently own?
I have my ’69 Mustang, which I got in 1976 for 1,969 dollars. This is the car I want to get on Cool Rides. I also have a ’72 SST Javelin numbers matching that I also show. Finally, I drive my ’95 Toyota Corolla that I put a V8 emblem on the fender just for kicks.
What do you like most about your Cool Rides?
They draw a lot of people around when I show. The Mustang I’ve had over 30 years and the Javelin was a pure restoration.
What is the best memory you have with your favorite ride?
Stopping the cruise at Stater Brothers run my first time. They stopped it to take photos of my car.
How do you store your ride(s) during infrequent use, and what maintenance tips can you provide for readers?
Always put on the car cover. Keep it in the garage with a battery tender, which keeps the battery ready for anything; especially when I hear a Hotrodder, most likely a Chevy, coming bye. Then I can pull it out quickly.
What was the first car you ever owned?
A 1963 Comet. I took the “v” off a Valiant, and put it in the place of the “c”. It was my Vomet. Then I grew up and got a real car, the ’69 Mustang.
What is/was the BEST car ever made?
The 1969 Mach 1 boss 429.
What is/was the WORST car ever made?
The peoples car, the Volkswagen Beetle.
How did you first hear about the Cool Rides Online website?
I heard about it from Stacy David.
Is there anything else you’d like the Cool Rides Online members to know about you?
It is written on the underside of my hood: “Speed kills, be safe, drive a Chevy.” All the work was done at my house.
