Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a 56 year old gearhead. I have been into cars since I was 16; loved everything about them. I graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology. My first car was a 1974 Nova, which I purchased new and  I beefed up after only having 5,000 miles on it. I kept this for 2 years and then purchased a new 1976 RS Camaro. This too needed tweaking after only a few miles. Then came marriage and two wonderful daughters, so the car hobby was put on hold for a few years. I got the twitch and purchased a 1969 Camaro Z28. Having a 4 speed, my wife could not drive it, so I traded it for a boat so we could have some quality family time. Once the girls went off to college, the boat was sold and the hunt for a muscle car began. I purchased a 1972 Camaro, which was in need of a complete frame off restro. This took me 4 years to complete in the home garage. It has won many trophies at the local shows and cruises. I then wanted a second car to compete with the first. Hoping my wife would join in on the fun, I purchased a 1962 Chevy II Nova. It took two years to complete the build. It too wins at each show I take it.

How do you store your ride(s) during infrequent use, and what maintenance tips can you provide for readers?

I keep them in my garage with a car cover. When storing for long periods (winter),I will change all the fluids, inflate tires to correct pressure, add fuel stabilizer, disconnect batteries and most importantly rest them on jack stands.
